the biggest fall/winter trends according to vogue

For those of you who don’t know, September Vogue is a big deal. It’s massive (about two and a half times as big as the regular magazine) and filled with articles and ad campaigns that showcase the trends and styles that will be seen on the fall/winter runways. After looking through this year’s September Vogue, I’ve compiled a list of all of the trends I think will be popular in the upcoming months.

Sustainable Fashion

Sustainable fashion is playing a huge role in NYFW. Even Anna Wintour said it in a recent Vogue Youtube video. Designers are focusing on ways to make people see high fashion as an investment and not something to wear for a season and throw out.

Pistachio had been circulation on the internet for a few months now, but I think it will continue into the fall/winter season.

Some argue that neutral colors have always been a fashion staple, but this season they seem to be even more important than ever before.

Bright Metallic/Statement Heels

Statement heels filled this months Vogue and I think they’ll do the same on the NYFW runways. They work well with neutrals and options can be found for all price ranges.

A classic that has made it’s way back onto the runways and in stores. I love how simple but beautiful this trend is.

Clutches and Shoulder Bags

The crossbody bag is slowly fading away, and baguette and shoulder bags and taking it’s place. Another bag trend taking over is the clutch/pouch trend, which is no longer just an option for a night out.
